What is Can Pop?
Can Pop is a creative studio in Mataró offering craft workshops and ongoing courses for everyone who loves handmade arts and mindful crafting. It’s a place for people who crave connection — with others, with their creativity, and with the simple joy of making something real. Perfection doesn’t matter here, presence does. We celebrate the beauty of human touch: glass cut by hand, yarn looped patiently, color and texture coming alive without rush or noise.
Whether you want to join a stained glass workshop, a needle felting class, or simply spend time in our cozy creative space for a slow craft session, Can Pop is where curiosity feels at home, tea is always brewing, and creativity — imperfect, heartfelt, and human — binds us together.

Who is behind the Can Pop?
Hey! I’m Liisa, a girl from a small and distant Baltic country: Estonia. Do you remember the capital? Yes, I’m from Tallinn 🙂
Since I was little I’ve been passionate about crafts and creative arts: sewing, knitting, crocheting, painting with watercolors or drawing. Later, when I discovered art conservation, I found the perfect way to combine my passions of art, history and crafting.
After finishing my master’s degree in Belgium, I worked for ten years as a stained glass conservator, collaborating with workshops in Catalonia, England and Germany. Among the most outstanding projects are the medieval stained glass windows of the Barcelona Cathedral, the Pedralbes Monastery, York Minster and Cologne Cathedral, as well as stained glass windows by Gaudí and the Sagrada Familia.
Over the years, I’ve learned that creativity and mindfulness go hand in hand. Creating calmly, breathing deeply and enjoying the process are my way of connecting with the present and giving value to what we do with our hands. This conscious look is what I try to bring to each project and each workshop at Can Pop.
Nowadays, my heart has taken me to Mataró, where I think I will stay and have decided to create Can Pop — space to share creativity, curiosity and presence. A warm and welcoming place to stop, share and create with soul.
